Sign

I'm over exhausted. Been working all day long. Trying to cope with deadline as early as possible so that everyone is happy with it but they will never satisfy. Talk crap here... just ignore this.

I've been so long didn't go to Sunway Pyramid since the new building was built. Last Wednesday, I'd followed my colleague to check out the trainers at California Fitness in Sunway. I didn't know that the fitness exist in Sunway.

After we have done with our things, we went to buy some snack back to office. My colleague told me that the mall have J.Co donuts outlet. I wasn't familiar with the new bulding but we'd managed to find it. Luckily it wasn't a long queue but the service was damn slow. Bought half dozen back.

We've dropped by at the ladies and I was kinda confused with the signs though it was pretty clear to everyone.

I asked my colleague how come the gents' sign, it has only 4-man hand-in-hand where else the ladies' in 9-lady?

She couldn't answer me. She just ignore my question and we headed back to office.

Event

Today at work I tried to sneak out for an hour with a colleague to attend the Starbucks' 100th store opening launch at Jaya One.

The location of the Starbucks itself wasn't promising but the store was looked good in interior wise. I was suprised to see alot of people turned up for the launch, not to mention those media.

We got freebies which contain a 16oz of Malaysia's 100th Starbucks store signature tumbler, a handphone strip, a bookmark, a free voucher, a packet of coffee beans and a 10oz of cappucino mug. I love the tumbler!

Few VVIPs were there which I can't recall their name though they were the important role for the launch. I managed to sign in huge of my signature at the edge of fame-wall.

I'd managed to get into the store after the VVIPs launch the opening. Crowded.

And left the event an hour later. Missed the performances and foods and free-loaded coffee/tea drinks but I was glad I got another tumbler!

Thanks to Irene for the invitation.

Til next, if I get an invite!

Emperor of Heaven

Yesterday was the 9th day of Chinese New Year to offer prayers to the Jade Emperor of Heaven which is important for Hokkiens and Teochews to do some offerings and customary protocol for paying respect during the birthday of the Jade Emperor.

This year I didn't help much as I was very tired once I got back from work. I told mum that I need to take an hour nap before I could help her. I was overslept but mum didn't nagged me but waited till at sharp 12 midnight to start praying.

Justin told me that his grandma's house will perform fireworks which was less than a minute. I didn't know where was his grandma's house was but it was definitely very near to my house to watch it.

Not only his grandma's house, other neighbours did. There wasn't any bang from firecrackers but only huge fireworks...

View from Justin's grandma's house.

View from another neighbourhood.

Lastly, my new gadget, thumb-drive; PenDrive Nano; 2GB; cost me RM70 with PenSkinz. Bought it at DigitalMall during lunchtime. :)

Valentine

The picture speaks itself... yar, I'm still single.

Valentine's day will be like last year, peace and quite with a little noise of mosquitoes flying around, strand in the house waiting for the prince charming comes to date me... all is just a dream but to mosquitoes are real.

:)

Valentine's day is the day where restaurants/cafe will mark-up (promotion) prices for the special day to be remembered. Mamak stalls will be filled with mostly 'single' people hanging around unless for those bunch of friends who like to avoid those cut-throat prices and packed with couples in restaurants or 'makan places'.

Parks or those deserted dark places will be filled with those lovebirds who like to be left alone doing munchy lovely memorable gestures. I think they need to bring 'kingkong oils' to get rid of those mosquitoes. *I think valentine's day is a day for mosquitoes to earn targets!* Cinemas will be fulled too but dunno got any potential movies to be shown for valentine's mood. Guess not unless for those horror movies. Something to be horrified while you're in love...

Seem I'm pessimistic about this lovingly day...
~all by myself, don’t wanna be...~

Yar... that's the song describe how I felt.

Anyhow, Happy Valentine's Day to all my friends and families! ;)

How's your CNY?

I think this year Chinese New Year (CNY) wasn't that great as last year. Why? Because this year I got to eat lou-sang lesser than last year; maybe I'd missed the night when they (relatives) went for the lou-sang. Or maybe I'm not in the mood of this year CNY. I didn't get myself for new clothes. I didn't get to go shopping. Just passed the days and my mum has asked me why I didn't get myself some new clothes. I told her that I wasn't in the mood of shopping or buying new clothes. She said 1st day of CNY need to wear a brand new clothes to show a new beginning of life. Oh, well..

But I had bought a pair of new shoes that I haven't wear it yet, til now. I bought a shirt in earlier and I wore it last Saturday.

This year I went to visit Jenny's house as she invited us; Agnes and me. Agnes brought her son, Andrew along her husband. Andrew grews up very fast. He is getting taller and he is a fast-learner. At his age of 6+ months, he knows how to walk but not stable yet. He loves to walk while holding his dad's hands. His dad complained he's going to have backache...hehehee

Jenny's son also grows bigger then the last time I saw him. His eye-lashes are damn long that can compete with Andrew's. :) Both child got their own charms.

Both mums have their own topic of chats where else I was just listening like what Agnes's husband do. Heeheee

It was good to see both babies grew.

My holidays going to end soon. Tomorrow got to get back to work, reality of work. I've been eating non-stop when I'm in the house. I did gained weight. Gosh... I need to get back on track in gym.

Boring

It's been a week since the dinner that I never get to update my blog.

I'd just got back from the cinema on Rambo 4 movie. I went to watch with Jeff and Jason for a night-movie-out. We'd decided to watch Rambo as we all haven't and since I told them I wouldn't mind to watch it although I didn't follow-up the sequels.
To my horror, this movie is freaking damn violent. Advise to those who is pregnant not to see it. This movie is even worst than 300. But I think most of men would like this movie. I was nail-biting all the time during the movie. Damn 'geli' leh... but it was a nice movie. Sylvester looked very old in the movie but his acts in the movie is still with his munching mouth of bravery.... heheeee. He's got the 'look'.

Just recently, just few hours ago my CPU's the mouse port got spoilt.
Is this a sign to get a whole new PC? (Scratching my head)
I've just bought a new handphone and I need to save some money for this coming April's trip. How could I afford to buy a new one?
I have given some thought of getting a notebook, but some people told me just get a new iMac which cost almost the same as a new laptop in different brands.
*Puzzled*
Maybe, jusy maybe I can get a lappy after the trip which is after the April month.
That's gonna take time that I need to tolerate with my present PC.

Oh, yah! About the trip in April, I'm going with my mum and with colleague's mum too. Its like a gang of mothers and daughters trip to Asia country. Later I will tell more in the next post where it shall be. I told mum about the trip where we get to book the free tickets from AirAsia. But my mum found the place wasn't her preferance. She prefers to go some breezy place. Oh, well...

This year chinese new year is like a normal days to pass. It just that I got to rest for few days without any work other than staying at home and watching tv almost the whole day. Every year, me of getting angpows weren't that alot anymore. Its getting lesser. But I wasn't mind as I need I'm getting older and I have earn money of my own. But then I still love to get angpows especially to those from just married couples... :)

Okay, here a photo that I've posted. Something is interesting about 'him'. It taken at living hall at my home while I was watching tv. I love him so much that sometime he can make my day into something cheerful. :)

Happy Chinese New Year to everyone. I wish everyone filled with joyful happiness all days long and prosperous in health, wealth, lucks and dreams come true.

I'm sorry to my cousins that I couldn't get to go to your new house for Chinese New Year.
Sorry to those friends that I didn't get to invite to visiting my house. I'm kinda of 'avoiding' something that couldn't explain much about myself.

Lou Sang with CHIPsians - Gathering

Since the 1st project that I had organized last year, came to this year, again.

As usual, I had emailed most of the ex-staff with fixed date, time and venue stated. Some of them had responded but some of them; guess I'm outdated with their email addresses that's why they didn't respond. So I called them up to confirm their attendance. I've even hand-draw the rough map on the direction to the restaurant.

Yesterday was the nite and I was late to come although I'm the organizer. I was a terrible organizer because I thought I counted at least 10 people who might attend but we were 12 of us. Not only I'm the later comer (not the last one who come) but paiseh with the foods were served.

I had booked a table of 10 at Restaurant Yan Yan, Old Klang Road in advanced but we were squeezing at each other and I could see the foods weren't enough... We called the festive menu RM398++ which has lou-sang + 7-dish (I have lost count on this). Then I ordered some tim-sum just to fit our stomach much tighter to feel the fullness but seem everyone was fulled.

I presume the foods weren't enough as got 3 pregnant ladies and got big-eater guys. We have 6-woman and 6-man... eh, what a balance... hehehe

I hope that everyone was happy with the dinner although I could see this dinner wasn't mesmerizing.

I will try to plan better one next year for CNY!

To those who couldn't make it for this gathering dinner, no worry. Please make sure you're available for next year larr...
:)

Thanks to Irene for taking the group pictures. :)
