I must apologise to someone who was very concerned of my safety since I worked overnight in the office for rushing the production deadline.

Sorry Uncle Mike, Darren, Chin Huat, 3rd Bro, Mum and grandma who were worried about me for not being at home last Friday. Instead I got home last Saturday night. Too much of works need to be done until now, finally it has finished. Maybe tonight I can sleep in peaceful dreams after all the hardworks.

Actually today I did the same thing. I stayed overnight with other colleagues since yesterday til now. Never sleep. But today I has informed my family about not going home. :)

Working in a publishing is like life as in mentrual pain which occurs once a month. Deadline before the end of the month which last for 1 week or ever more. Sigh. guess my company short of staffs.

Anyhow, the works had finished. Alas.

Revise: Celebration

On 20th January 2006 I posted on 'Luncheon with Colleagues - 'Lou-Yee-Sang' was just only in photos. I didn't have the time to write in detail cause I was so damn busy with works on deadline. Now I would like to add and amend.

It was planned to have amongst colleagues 'Luncheon-Yee-Sang' together. Wanted to have most of them but ended up 6 of us. We ate at New Paris Restaurant, SS2 Petaling Jaya. We called few dishes as shown in the pictures; 'Yee-Sang', Steam Fish with chili-asam sauce, Fried 'Lala's', Vege with Beancurd sauce, Sesame sweet soya sauce Chicken and Famous Fried To-Fu with mince of meats.

The foods were delicious and made our lunch fulled with appetite. The 'Yee-Sang' only cost RM28 and each of us only paid less than RM20. Good value with tasty foods. :)

Let's talk about the preparation of Chinese New Year. On last Friday I was so busy at works which I need to finish the magazine before send to prints. Time was running fast and tight that I had to work overtime at around 8 something in the night itself. Alas.

The next day, I was supposingly to help mum to clean up the house, yah, I know, it was last minute job. Instead my mum asked me to help grandma to cook the dishes for the reunion dinner. I helped grandma to cook Sweet Sour Fried Tiger Prawns, Steam Whole Chickenn, Fried Whole Chicken (which was last minute change the menu that we supposingy bake the chicken in oven but it spoilt), Mixed Pork Soup and vegetables. Grandma just sit there in the kitchen and pointed which and which to cook, just like my si-fu. Hee.

After finished the cooking in entire that afternoon, I helped mum to clean the floor of the house in the late evening. Every year we need to wash and clean the floor. My mum washed and I wiped. Once finished, mum and me wanted to go for last minute shopping at Parkson, OUG. I haven't buy any new clothes for new year and mum wanted to buy some groceries. We both shopped in a different department until the last drop of the mall closed. I managed to buy 2 new shirts.

First day of the Lunar New Year, I got up at around 10 something to get prepare with new clothes. Pay respect to grandma and mum with the wishes and get angpows. Hee. Then we waited my uncles to come for a vegetarian luncheon in KL. First day of Chinese New Year in every year got to be abstain from meat. It is believed that this will ensure long and happy lives in chinese belief. No wonder every year my grandma wants to be vegetarian. After the lunch, we all headed to one of my uncle's house at Sri Kembangan to hang out. A few hour, Chin Huat's family went home and left of us were car pooling around Putrajaya. My uncle brought my grandma around that area. Tried to admire those garden and flowers around that my uncle who likes gardening so much. We got home in the late evening, pretty tiring.

The 2nd day, was Chin Huat's dad who treated us with Tim-sum for breakfast in KL too. Spent almost 2hours in the restaurant non-stop eating while chit-chatting. I didn't take any pictures of the activities I had that I lazy to take a prosumer camera along. Kinda bulky and risky to get any scratches on the review camera. :)

The rest of the days, I was just stayed in the house, watching TV, sleep and eat. Didn't go visiting which I was supposed to go that I last minute call off because of stomach-ache. Sorry Jenny & Joanne for letting you gals down. Planned to go Liang Ser & Chooi Lin's house on the 3rd day with them along. And also to Jenny's house on the 4th day. Didn't go. But I went to Jason's house on the last minute thoughts on 2nd day. Heehee. Jason, Jeffery, Michael and me were gamble for few rounds. Jason won some money where else 3 of us lost. At least I got the day to gamble. Chinese New Year is the time to gamble with friends which is only happen once a year.

Yesterday was the 8th day where the Hokkien people pray to 'Tian Kong', the God of Heaven and my family was one of them. Mum went to buy the praying stuffs and we prepared before the midnight. The prayer started at midnight until 1something in the morning. Here are the some of the snapshots:

This time Chinese New Year was not as miserable as last year. Everytime I think about Chinese New Year is something do to the house where we got to spring cleaning with all the hassle which I doesn't like to do the chores. Pardon me, I admit I am a lazy person in the house which according with the moods. Heehee.

But this time is getting better for not being so down or unhappy about the celebration but acted normal in a living. I would like to thanks to those relatives, uncles and aunties who gave me angpows and I wish them a very good prosperous, healthy and wealthy life throughout the year. Happy Chinese New Year!!!!! Gong Xi Fa Chai!!!!!!
