Redang Trip

Fortunately I got tagged to a such crazy group to Redang Island. Though it was my first time visit but it's worthless experience. We have 11 adults plus 2 children.

We went there on 3rd July on early morning flight with FireFlyz. I couldn't get sleep as it not because excited about the trip, but I was in the office to finish as much as I could before I could really enjoy the trip. Even I haven't pack my bag. :)

Reached at Murang Jetty 9smthing in the morning and reached at Redang Island at about 10am; I guess. Checked in to our rooms which I shared with 3 other gals; Ling Hui, Billie and Yvonne. I took some pictures before we could have our lunch being served in the canteen. Weather was cloudy and drizzling then it started raining during the lunchtime. After the lunch, we went for our 1st day snorkelling at Pulau... (I've forgotten!!!). They said this time not many fishes/nothing much to see. But for me... sea-water was damn clear, how I wish to have underwater camera to snap some few shots. After that we had our dinner which the BBQ dishes. The dinner was great and delicious! Then we went for a night-walk along the island after the rain has stopped. Had supper while listening to a local live band performing.

The next morning, getting to prepare for breakfast and depart to Marine Island to snorkel. I was really excited to feed the fishes such close-up though some of the fishes bite my fingers; nothing serious just ticklish. After snorkelling, we went back to our resort for lunch. After lunch, our free leisure time that we decided not to go for another snorkel, it seems nothing much to explore more; the corals and fishes getting lesser. I took alot of pictures on scenery as I walked all by myself while the others have their afternoon nap on hammock; some sun-bathing.

After the dinner, we had our 'drinking session' at the bar. Crazy bunch of people got sober with silly games. Laugh like mad but it was fun! :)

The next morning on our last day at Redang, I took some sunrise shots. It was not as early as you thought, it was after 7am. We took our breakfast before we left the Redang Island. Back to Murang Jetty then to the airport.

Overall, I'd really enjoyed the trip and the enjoyment was worthless.
Thanks to everyone; Yvonne for organizing the trip, Mun Yew, Wei Seng & Billie, Sammuel & Ling Hui, Adrian & his family, Dex and Ken!!!!! Love to hang out with you guys! :)

With them!

When works stressed up your mood, you couldn't show it to your dearest cousins. I love being with cousins for an outing.
Out of sudden, Ah Huat and Darren messaging me through MSN. They were planning to watch a movie as Ah Huat got nothing to do last Saturday.

I told them I was very broke and I could only tag along with them. :) They were so nice to treat for this outing. Heehee. Ah Huat belanja movie and Darren belanja dinner! Lovely!

We watched 'The Missing' and had dinner at Italian restaurant in The Gardens. The movie was okay for me just that Darren unsatisfy with the message of the story. Dinner was great as most of us enjoyed the sharing dishes.

Too bad Lay Teng couldn't come along as she got to work on a night shift.

Love you guys!!!

Traditional Spanish Dance Show

I was totally out from my blog as per usual busy like a shit, working non-stop and also part of my activities on how to learn swimming and also I got to learn to dance Spanish dance.

On 14th June, went for Spanish traditional dance workshop organized by Embassy of Spain. Thanks to my colleague, Ker-hsin for inviting me to participate this workshop. Though its free but worthless experience. It held at KLPac from 3pm til 6pm. I can't imagine that I could survive long enough to learn the steps for the beginners. By the time I get to catch up the steps on legs, then need to coordinate with the hands' movement. I seriously couldn't cope. My brain got stucked. Just got to know how to dance with the legs. My hands were just on my hips all the times. But my whole body truly numb when I got home. >_<

On 16th June, get to attend their Traditional Spanish Dance Show-Iberrica De Danza at KLPac.

Hint: One of the male dancer is really cute like horpit in LOTR movie. Hahaha

Does taste really matter, only?

Joined The Westin's Taste Matters community where to enjoying the benefits and privileges that they could offer for gastronomic adventures. FYI: It's free. A set of complimentary gift vouchers were given together with my Taste Matters membership card. I had used one of the vouchers where I will get a FREE Signature Dinner Set at The Living Room for two person which was yesterday. I asked Irene to dine along with me.

And here are the list of the menu:

As for our STARTER, there only 2-option to choose. Since just two of us, we take all! Quite disappointed when we were being served with such a SMALL portion of foods like these, as below. I know I'm a such big eater. :P

Our MAIN COURSE, also there only 2-option to choose, we take all too! I love the 'Duck and bacon roulade, orange confit with sauteed spinach, creamy orange sauce' cos the taste was special. The fine duck meats wrapped with bacon stuffed of chopped veges and covered with the sauces, superb! But negative point for the side dish of the sauteed spinach as the cook didn't really clean them properly that I ate some sands in my stomach. Doink!

Our DESSERT, there no option to choose as we were served with this. The whipped cream was not well-served as in not that 'fresh'; melted. The biscotti was nice, crunchy but a little toooo sweet. I saved some bites for my coffee. :)

Since the portion of the foods were not that much as we haven't had our dinner, we decided to call one dish which we need to pay was this. Creamy but not cheesy.

After the dinner and paid our bill which was RM17.25 for our dinner, the experience of free meal was worthless.

One thing that we were not satisfied was their service. Not to the standard of an hotel. Lack of professionalism. Free meal, can't expect more; but then, they can't do that. Its their job to serve customers the best.

Maybe if I'm a food critic/review, they could have serve me better; more caution. :)

Darcy's Wedding

Went to Darcy's wedding dinner at Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa last Saturday. He invited only certain people as his invitation was very limited and small. The dinner was held at one of the chinese restaurant in the hotel; I forgotten the name. It was very small hall which could occupy 200 people. The foods were not bad. The live band was okay but I think the lead singer was too exaggerate. I want to upload the video but there's nothing much to see. The live band performed most of the 80s songs.

Here are the pictures. Didn't take many cause my digicam was out of battery. The digicam lost it screws that cause problems.

Got of his wedding photos. Love the first one. :)

Congratulations, Darcy and May! May live happily and sweet. Shall see you guys in Singapore, if I ever plan to go there! :)

Hanoi Trip - From Kew's

Got some pictures taken by Kew from her digi-cam. I think just got one picture where the scenery I'm at the peak of the mountain. Amazingly blurred background, nice view taken from Kew's DSLR. Heehee

Cam-whore myself since I got the free make-up and hairdo during the award nite thingy. After the nite, reached home and took my handphone to capture myself in some action. Not that vulgar action, just some mini face expression. :) Pai-seh lar...

Hanoi Trip - Last Peek

These are the last photos that I took. From viewing all the mountains during the ride on the boat took an hour for fro and an hour back to the port. After the boat ride, we headed for lunch then back to our hotel which reached about past 6pm. Then we all went for dinner and we walked at the night market. The next morning we headed to the aiport and reach KL at about past noon. It was a tiring trip.

I hope my mum would experience to see the other country's culture and surroundings. I hope that she'd enjoyed the trip though she complained about the weather there. Well, one of my list of the resolutions is accomplished! Mission complete! :)

Couldn't see me row the boat? Guess I need to take from Kew's camera to post them here. To be continued, then...

Women Awards Nite

On Wednesday, 29th April 2008 my company got to organised on every year event on behalf of the magazine for Women Awards thingy. Nothing much to review on this event as I didn't take pictures with my camera. I'd got to take few after the event as I was busy doing my part of the job. But my colleague, Kew got took most of us the pictures, so, I will post them later. Here are the photos of me with Juliana, the Brand & Promo department gal. :)

BBQ during the hot weather

My ex-collegemate had planned for a BBQ gathering among with her coursemates which were from Interior Design based at my house. They couldn't find a suitable place fo a BBQ as most of them are from out-station people.

So, on Labour Day's eve they had the BBQ at my home. I called my coursemates which they were from Graphic Design based to come over but just few of them came. Thanks Jeffery and his girlfriend, Connie and Jason came though you guys didn't eat much. Pleasure to meet you guys. Very the 'pei-min' liao. I'm touched!

Oh, well. I wasn't satisfy during the BBQ as the weather was so darn hot and the set-up wasn't well prepared. I couldn't blame them all as they do not have the fridge at home to keep those foods in. Too much foods were left as just 5 of us BBQ-ing. Pathetic huh...

And it ended quite early as past midnight as to some of them need to work on Labour Day.

Here just two pictures:
