Baby Logan

Baby Logan was born in the month of March who Vikram & Ashley's first child. Since the day when he was born, I never get to visit the mum and baby due to circumstances. Finally I get to meet the baby when he is just 2 months old. I was excited to meet Logan and he is very cute. His dad is an Indian and his mum is Chinese, so baby Logan is a 'mixed'-ChinDian. Baby Logan is lovely mixed and I couldn't figure it out who does he look alike to whom. My mum said the baby looks like the father. Oh, well; every each days pass, the baby will change and by the time is appropriate then we could figure who does Logan look alike.

But the parents are going back to Japan as the dad is working based in Japan. Baby Logan is lucky to take a flight with his parents but I was so worried about his condition of taking flight. Don't know when to get to see baby Logan again. There we were having a lunch together with Irene and her friend. It was quite in a rush to have lunch as the next day they got to take flight back to Japan. It was sweet day to get together with baby Logan. 'Kawai-i'.

Let me show some of the pictures taken in my camera:

Take care Baby Logan, Vikram and Ashley. Hope to see you guys again!!! Look forward to hear from you!

A Wedding, Grandma's Birthday...

Days running pretty fast and it has been 2 weeks I was away to update the blog. Life wasn't easy since I got my new job. I guess you people has been reading my blog will already knew I've been repeating the same quetch. Full workloads with tight datelines. I've got to be multitask as not only working for my Head of Department but to Editorial Department. Phew... A lot of procedures got to be followed and sometime I got mixed up till my brain couldn't think anymore but stressed out. A long list await to be done at the same day, which is pretty tough to handle.

Although weekdays were filled with workloads but there certain time to hang out. I got a mini belated birthday; again which bought by WeiLee as promised to treat for my birthday. It was very nice small cake which enough to fill 2 of us. I can't remember the place we had the cake as I'm getting very short-term memory. It was a great day to hang out with delicious cake and nice horror movie. 'Spirit of the Victim', a Thai horror movie is recommended.

My Belated Cake - 5 May 2007

Anyhow, for the past 2 weeks I've been eating non-stop. First was my cousin-sis' wedding dinner then my grandma's birthday and then cousin-sis' tea ceremony buffet dinner. My cousin-sis, Siew Peng got married on Labour Day but she had her wedding dinner reception before she got registered. After that she has her 'tea ceremony' at her house in the next day.

My grandma's birthday was on Labour Day; 1st of May. She is in her early 80s. As you know she has in physical difficulty and wasn't strong. But she was enjoying the day of her celebration gathered with her children, grandchildren and a great grand-daughter.

Here are the glimpse of the days except the 'tea ceremony' buffet dinner.

Grandma's birthday - 1st May 2007

Siew Peng, cousin-sis' wedding dinner - 29 April 2007

At the reception area:

During the dinner. I know my face was red due to red wine intake. I wasn't drunk but easily get reddish on my face in just a few sips.

At the end of the dinner night:

After the 3 days of foods intake, my stomach was uneasy and in pain. It was painful till I felt like I got a gastric. I didn't go to see doctor. I was burping all the times and nearly wanted to vomit while in pain. I drank some warm/hot water and it was okay then. Luckily wasn't serious as I thought. I think my digestion was that good like last time.

Another glimpse of my favourite cat.

Pictures on my Birthday

12 April 2007 - Surprised Birthday Celebration from Ex-colleagues and Irene
It’s kind of late to post on how my birthday celebration was. While I was waiting for Riza to hand over the pictures taken from the DSLR, I’d just hold on with the post. Heck it, just post some of the pictures that I had here.

I would like to big thanks to all my ex-colleagues and Irene for the surprise birthday celebration. It was all well planned which I got punk’d, not with humiliation but it was totally out of my expectation.

Every year of my birthday, there nothing special to celebration which it likes an usual day. Except last year I had a drunken birthday at karaoke. Other than that with usual birthday cake and everyone started to sing the birthday song. My family doesn’t celebrate as it’s not the custom.

But this year was different. I’d expected there nothing to celebrate but move on with a usual day. On my birthday in the office, none of my new colleagues know. Then I got a birthday card from the HR Department which it likes a formal card represented by the company that my colleagues weren’t aware. I was doing my usual works in the office. Even my ex-colleagues never wish me. Like they were don’t know my birthday. So sad.

It started with Yvonne, my ex-colleague has suggested to me that one of the day in that week, she will fetch me to visit her new home at Ampang after work. I told her its fine to see her new home. She even asked me whether I would ask Irene to come along to see her new home. I’d called Irene and invite her along and we planned to see her new home on my birthday which seem I have nothing much to do during my day.

On my birthday, April 12, Yvonne fetched me from my office to home. I took my bath and got changed with casual clothes. I was informed that she might need my help to shift some stuff to her new home. Then Yvonne came to fetch me and Irene. While waiting for Irene to come down from her condo, Yvonne called up her husband who was in the new home to wait. Then when Irene got into the car, she’d requested to drop by a place to get something from a friend who came back from foreign country (I forgotten). Irene has asked me whether want to meet her friend who is mixed races and quite charming but way too young for me. I didn’t care but to get to know more friends. I told Irene I want to meet her friend.

Once we reached the place, I saw Jeffery’s car was parked there. I’d told Yvonne of Jeffery’s car was there. They were ignored me. I didn’t suspect anything but curious to know what Jeffery was doing at such classy wine restaurant. There, they were bunch of people sitting at the long table and yelled ‘Surprise!’ It was very first time someone has thrown me a surprise celebration and thanks to them who came!

Not to forget, thanks to those who left SMSes, emails and wishes. Really love you guys who attended the surprise party.

14 April 2007 - Belated Birthday celebration with ex-collegemates and friends
Thanks to Castina and Siki for the dinner treats. Thanks to Jay for singing out loud the birthday song in the public. Thanks to everyone who came for the yam cha session cum mini belated birthday celebration. Thanks to Kon Ngun for the bills that night and also fetching me home and Irene too.

It was a great night to hang out with a bunch of Foundation Year in college. Really miss the old days. :)

New Job, New Scopes

I've been busy lately. Therefore I've been working late nowadays.

Working at Section 13 where it’s totally packed with cars at the entire of the roadside and the jammed at the round-about that I got to get up early to go to work and leave late to avoid the jam. It likes more than 10 hours I got to spend my weekdays in the workplace. Pretty tired at the beginning but getting use to it.

What I have done in previous weeks ago? I have watched some movies like 300, Mr. Bean’s Holiday, Stomp The Yard, The Reaping…
Just last week, I’ve got to watch free movie and got some free tickets. I’d called Irene to bring her friends to watch along. Here we are; watched ‘Catch and Release’ acted by Jennifer Garner. The movie was nothing much interesting though you can’t see much of Jennifer Garner’s action acts in the movie. This movie is about romance comedy genre that talking about the complication of relationship. Anyhow, here is the group picture:

Catch and Release Movie – 4 April 2007

Sometime working in this new company might stress out my mind which I do not know how to definite ‘stress’ was. But sometimes we get to involve in writers’ assignment on test and trial stuff. Last Friday I was assigned to get the hair trial treatment. It was ‘Deep Repair Treatment for Very Dry or Damaged Hair’. I have had done perming and hair colored last year and I’ve never get any treatment to my hair until now. The treatment took about 1 hour plus with 6 steps of procedure. And I look like this:

I looked totally different with this kind of hair styling. Look weird, don’t you think?

Monday, I was assigned to help a writer to take some snapshot with my Digicam of some places at Plaza Damas and Damansara Heights. I spotted some interesting and nice walls which I’d asked the writer to take some pictures. She was sporting enough to take of my pictures and I took some of hers too.

9 April 2007

Then later that night, hanging out in Midvalley and took some pictures with the huge wallpaper at the entrance with Irene and her friends.

And yesterday, again, assigned to help the writer to take a profile picture of a doctor at Jalan Sultan Ismail. While waiting in the clinic, I took some pictures. Here what I wanted to do and asked her to take the picture:

Guess its that all for now, folks!

A New Gym in Bangsar

On 16 March, I went along with my Editor and a writer to attend the Grand Launching of Celebrity Fitness at Bangsar Village II Mall. They invited a lot of celebrities as their guest right after the press conference. I’d managed to take some of the artistes but the event turned from a gym into a club house. We weren’t hanging in there for long as we were tired. We left early at about 10pm.

And here are some shots:

To the Cretin who did this to me

Spontanenously. Quick in act. Unware. Blindly. Got into.

Was too late. Go freely. Might have next victims.

Damn him. Unmoral. Dolt. Curse him for no of his next generation. Burnt in hell. Strike by lightning. Get served punishments by god on what did to me.

Angry. Pathetic. Not safe. Unsecure. Vulnerable.

I'm really hate this kind of incident had happened to me, again. I felt this world seem so small and not safe to be alone. This country isn't safe anymore.

Am I look like an endangered species? Am I susceptible to get the attack?

I've been vulnerable since when I was born and brought up til now. I was trying to be tough on every consequences. I don't know how long I could hang on to.

Every incident made a person grow to be tougher/confidence to learn from it. But how long does it take. There's always a limitation to hang on, just matter of time when it will collapse.

Sigh.

For the ladies/gals out there, becareful. Trust me, you wouldn't want to what I had experienced, its paranoid. Becareful when you walk alone at this place.

Chinese New Year 2007

What did you do for your Chinese New Year?

For me, either having the holidays to go somewhere or stay at home. I was just stayed at home most of the times.
As usual, on Chinese New Year's eve and first day, my family and relatives will be having the re-union dinner together.

This year on the eve itself, Minna's mum; the family had a re-union with my family and grandma at Royal China Restaurant. That restaurant was packed like hell with people until their services were sickening. Some of the customers waited for their second dishes for an hour or even more than that. They'd ordered the package meal that the restaurant offered which come with ther set of the dinner. The customers complaint to the waiters and waitresses or even to the supervisors but there nothing in return. Ended up they just left the table without paying any. The services was sucked and slow which we got to pour own drink-tea ourselves. But lucky enough that most of our foods came all and we had a proper slow dinner that time.

And here are the 2 photos. I didn't take any foods picture.

On first day of Chinese New Year, we had another re-union dinner with my uncles, my family and grandma. This time we went to Janet's workplace, the restaurant in the club house. There were 6 families came for the dinner which we had 2 tables for the re-union, which mean got 23 people. We were in a private room for the dinner which accommodate with karaoke system. While we were eating, some of them were singing. I got the chance to sing one song that kept playing in my head, 'Moon River'. I was singing solo while my mum was impressed that I could sing. But then my singing was soft and not entertaining. I'd enjoyed singing then. Beforehand, I drank abit of red wine, then my adrenalin was rushing cause I was nervous when was my turn to sing and my face turned red even more. :)

Again just with 2 photos and no foods picture:

Collection of ang pows are same on every each year with the same quantity and same values from the same people; relatives. But I got some ang pows from my new workplace although I was just working there for more than a month. This year, I didn't do many house visiting but only at one house of my schoolmate. After all, I was loitering around in the house with watching tv and sleeping.

On 9th day of Chinese New Year is to pray the Jade Emperor of Heaven (Tian Kong) for Hokkiens people. My family was part of Hokkiens and we did our prayers by offering and did some customary protocol for paying respect to the Emperor of Heaven in the midnight.

And now back to working life...

Moon River

Whenever I have nothing in my mind, sometimes this song will playing in my thoughts. I've only know how to sing the first two words and just sing the tune. I love this song cause it gives me some ease.

Moon river
Wider than a mile
I'm crossing you in style
Some day...

Old dream maker
You heart breaker
Wherever you're going
I'm going your way...

Two drifters
Off to see the world
There's such a lot of world
To see...

We're after the same rainbow's end
Waiting around the bend
My Huckleberry friend
Moon River and me...

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone

I felt like a normal day. Nothing much particular but happy to see most of my colleagues received their gifts and flowers by their loved one. I wasn't miss that too. Thanks to the gal-colleague who gave each of everyone a chocolate or even those receivers share their chocolates/candy.

Some of us who were 'single' just celebrate with close friends and families.

HP Inter-Action Live in Transmission Party!

I got a private invitation from HP of their new launching ultra cool HP Pavilion tx1000 notebook with a concept of Inter-Action Live in Transmission! 5 parties – 5 cities – 5 world class artistes all in 1 night.

HP presents Inter-Action live in transmission by broadcasting Too Phat (Malaysia), Hifana (Taiwan), DJ Kentaro (Singapore), Qiu Hong (Hong Kong) and Dynamic Duo (Korea).

It sounded cool and I was excited to check out the place where it held at Maison, Jalan Yap Shak. The party were given free flow alcohols. I’ve never been to that area that even curios to check it out. Irene, herself did receive the private invitation and we were planned to go for it.

Firstly got to thanks to Irene’s friends who fetching us. Althought it wasn’t enjoyable nite for them as they were not given the media passes but they were enjoying checking out the girls. Heehee

Thanks to Mel for helping us to get the media passes that I and Irene got to get upstairs with the celebrities. I managed to get up close with some of the celebrities like taking pictures with them for my updating blog or even for my memories.

HP’s Inter-Action party was great with the audio visual innovation by interacting via satellite transmission from Asia, DJ Kentaro, Dynamic Duo, Hifana and Too Phat to the next level with non-stop aural and visual exchange of musical energies and a human computing experience like no other.

Live and direct transmission begins at 9pm sharp with:

• Hifana live in Taiwan at Club Luxy
• Too Phat live in Malaysia at Maison - Malique aka Que_Chill & Joe Flizzow aka JFK
• Qiu Hong live in Hong Kong at Edge
• Dynamic Duo live in Korea at Catchlight

Too Phat was rock! The music was good. I and Irene were at the front row near the stage that was broadcasting live to other countries. I am famous! Heeheee

VJ Joey G was the MC for the nite and here are the pictures with celebrities!!!!!!!!!!!!

My new colleagues and ex-colleagues were there too. They were invited with media invitation. Really got to thanks to Mel and Irene's friends for fetching us. I hope they were enjoying themselves.

It was a good party. Memorable ones.

Gala Nite

I was so stress out at work for the past few weeks ago that I was working on my company’s gala nite which is a big event of the year. I was given the job to do the invitation card design, the event stage, the photo wall of fame, registration area with the same theme of gala nite.

The colour theme was purple and our staff’s dress code was in black cocktail/lounge wears. Our company has invited a lot of guests including VVIP from Ministry of Women, Family & Community Development, celebrities, high society people and the clients.

Our magazine organized this big event to give an award for the title of ‘Woman of the Year’ and ‘Young Woman Achiever’.

It held at Hotel Hilton Kuala Lumpur on 5th February 2007. The event turned out glamorous with the props, stage, table arrangements, flower arrangements, candles etc. We even invited the press media from NTV7 to have the cover of that event. We even invited Jacklyn Victor to perform as well as the LiT Performers. Our host of the nite was Bernie Chan. All of them were marvellous.

I won’t reveal much of the event but I’m going to post some of the pictures of me and my new colleagues. We were given glamorous touches from make-up artists and hair-stylists to look good as we need to usher the guests.

And here I am with a new ‘make-over’.

Some of my new colleagues:

Ex-CHIPsians Gathering - Dinner

I was given a project; to plan/organize a gathering dinner with my ex-colleagues. They asked me to be the organizer for this first outing. So I did. I'd emailed most of my colleagues about the gathering dinner, asked them where to eat which most convenient to all of us. Set the date and time. Once confirmed/agreed with the venue, I'd proceeded with the reservation.

And here were we. We were at Souled Out, Sri Hartmas on 3rd February, Saturday. Though I was expecting most of them come but it turned out was mesmerizing. Jue Fok who is currently working in Singapore came all the way. Long time Gary has been leaving the company also came with his wife. It was a fun nite, everyone enjoying their dinner. Get to updating with our different worklife.

Looking forward for next one. :)

1st February 2007 - Thaipusam

Those pictures were taken by using my Motorola E1070.

1st February was public holiday for Federal Territory of Wilayah Persekutuan and Thaipusam. Irene has called me to pay a visit at Batu Caves to see the celebration which she hasn’t experience and so am I. She wanted to take some photographs with my FM2 camera with a high ISO that she bought. So I was happy to go with her in the midnight after had difficulty in transportation.

We reached at the nearby roadside of the Batu Caves at about 2am++. There were a lot of people crowded the roads as well with the jammed. We were hanged out around for 4hours on the road that we weren’t had the chance to go into the Batu Caves’ entrance compound. It was terrible sandwiched with people which stucked the way of the entrance. We couldn’t enter but walked back to the river bank to see those devotees cleanse and get pierced by carrying various types of kavadi (burdens) with vel skewers. The most spectacular practice is the vel kavadi, essentially a portable altar up to two meters tall, decorated with peacock feathers and attached to the devotee through 108 vels pierced into the skin on the chest and back.

Anyhow, I didn’t bring the Digi-camera along as I was lazy to bring and no intention to take pictures that time. I was thinking of looking around but I took some photos with my camera-phone.

After we got tired and had enough of watching and photographing, we went to mamak nearby which opened 24hrs for a rest. The celebration wasn’t end till the next day. People still was coming in for praying.

Later on, I wanted to have light tim-sum at KL. We went to have our early breakfast for tim-sum. Chit-chat then spontaneously we think of places to go. Irene shows me where is the “Eye of Malaysia’ which is situated at Titiwangsa. It was a huge ferries wheel in the centre of the park. It was huge. Then we headed to KL Tower as we both haven’t visit the place. It opened at 9am. We reached there at about 8am++ and we were hanging around the area to take some photos. At sharp 9am, we bought our tickets at the counter and went up to the Observation Tower. We spent an hour sight-seeing around and took photos.

After that we headed to Maju Junction for a little shopping. At 1 something in the afternoon, we headed home. Nearly 12 hours that we didn’t sleep. It was a good experience though it tiring but it was fun!
